Description: How wonderful to be snowed in. I accomplished so much. We gathered up the wash that needed doing, put photos in order for a scrapbook, cooked wonderful meals. caught up on paperwork and played on Facebook.
Now after the firsdt hour and half of such wothwhile pursuits, I got bored. I also had lots of promised crafts to get moving on. So, do paperwork or go look into my stash of yarn and patterns. Guess what won out? Get the sarcasm there?
So, I found a very pretty twinset to make for my oldest friend, Karen. She turned 50 a month before me and I ahd perfect yarn for it. I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease in Autumn 233. It is a variegated yarn in yummy Fall colors which is exactly what she requested.
The pattern is from one of my favorite books, "24-Hour Crochet Projects" which sits comfortably next-to the knitting book of the same name. I may not make the inner piece since it is a halter top but I will ask her. The only thing I need to search for is a pair of unusual buttons for the collar pin-down.
So I have been busily crocheting during this nasty blizzard. We are now at over 70" for the Winter season. Sheesh! Are we relocated to the North Pole? Seriously people, In know Punxatawney Phil saw his shadow but this is out-of-line for Mother Nature. However, I am thrilled that I was able to get some of this work done. In between croceting, I also did cooking. I felt it was the least I could do for my men after they came in from the cold!
