Begins with a Latvian braiided band and knit up in a tricorner shape.  The Koi design is added in duplicatte stitch.  Knit in 7 shades of Cascade 220.

To complete this project as shown, you'll need the following materials:

• 1 skein each Cascade Yarns Cascade 220 (100% wool; 220 yards; recommended gauge 5 stitches = 1" on US 7-8) in 8891 teal, 8892 dark teal, 7824 orange, 7826 goldenrod, 9463B yellow, 8884 maroon, 9422 berry or other medium/worsted weight yarn.
• Size US 1 (2.25mm) 16" circular needles
• Size US 3 (3.25mm) 16" circular needles
• Size B-1 crochet hook (2.25 mm) crochet hook
• Tapestry needles
• Stitch markers
• Small amount white worsted weight yarn for eye
• Small amounts DMC 6-strand embroidery floss in 349 brick, and 728 gold
