I've only been knitting since 2006 but I've been crocheting since I was six years old (1970!) My grand mother taught me as well as how to sew My mother also taught me sewing> She made our clothes (there were four of us kids) *and* worked full time as a nurse! The only down side to that is that I have no excuses for not getting everything done. Sigh----
