One of my favorite vacations was a twoweek road trip with my son through Glacier National Park in Montana and Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. I was awestruck by the mountain scenery and wide open skies.

Designer Kim Haesemeyer has lived in Montana for 15 years, and pays tribute to her adopted home with these socks that celebrate the "Big Sky" state. The leg is worked back and forth in a simple intarsia pattern, then seamed up and knit in the round for the rest of the sock.
